From November 8, 2004 to December 28, 2004, the drama 'I'm Sorry, I Love You' (directed by Lee Hyung-min, written by Lee Kyung-hee) that made viewers cry with So Ji-sub and Im Soo-jung contained the heartbreaking love of people with different wounds.



Moo-hyeok (played by So Ji-sub), who was abandoned by his parents and adopted to Australia, returns to Korea with a bullet in his head and sets out to find his birth mother. Eun-chae (played by Im Soo-jung), who has had a crush on her childhood friend Choi Yoon (played by Jung Kyung-ho), a popular singer, begins a sad love with Moo-hyeok (played by So Ji-sub) who appears as Yoon's manager.

This drama garnered attention for its fantastic visuals and music from the first episode, which was filmed entirely on location in Australia, and it was also a drama with a fast-paced plot. So Ji-sub's funky hairstyle, including dreadlocks and hairbands, became issues, and the line in the drama, "Do you want to eat with me, do you want to live with me?" became popular.

‘I’m Sorry, I Love You’, Park Hyo-shin’s OST for ‘Snow Flower’, was also popular along with the drama, and it is one of the dramas that produced a large number of ‘drama addicts’.

부모에게 버림받아 호주로 입양됐던 무혁(소지섭 분)은 머리에 총알이 박힌 채 한국으로 돌아와서 생모를 찾아 나선다. 어릴 적부터 친구인 인기가수 최윤(정경호 분)을 짝사랑하던 은채(임수정 역)는 윤의 매니저로 나타난 무혁(소지섭)과 슬픈 사랑을 시작하게 된다. 

이 드라마는 첫 회에 호주 올 로케이션 촬영으로 환상적인 영상과 음악을 선보여 화제를 모았고, 극의 전개가 빠르게 진행된 드라마이기도 하다. 소지섭의 펑키 헤어스타일로 레게머리와 헤어밴드가 이슈가 되었고, 드라마 속 대사 “나랑 밥 먹을래, 나랑 살래”가 유행하기도 했다. 

‘미안하다 사랑한다’는 박효신의 ‘눈의 꽃’ OST도 드라마와 함께 인기가 높았고, 드라마 ‘폐인’들을 대거 양산했던 드라마 중 하나다.
